Dear 16 year old....

Hello my beautiful friends! Its my birthday month, I am 26 years old. I know its silly to be freaking out about my age but that its just the person that I am. Every year close to my birthday I get overly emotional and a bit depressed about turning a year older. How silly is that? I'm a healthy 26 year old who is very blessed in life and I'm thankful to be alive & healthy Grateful for everything I have but it still gets to me & I want to be open about it. It's been 10 years since I was 16 I have grown in so many ways and in others I have stayed the same. I remember getting asked often where I would be in 10 years at the age of 16 and here I am. Could I have done more up to now? maybe. I'm content however with the changes in my life. I thought it would be fun to write to my 16 year old self. My 18 day fix journey & starting it all over again!

Hello my beautiful friends!   Welcome back to my blog, so today would have marked my 21 days, however there was big bumps on the road and I totally failed by day 18.   I want to start off by sharing that my second week was the best week ever. I did every workout & followed my diet exactly how I should have. I was feeling great and I was actually 5lbs down!!!   Here's everything that went wrong for me the third week   1. I had more than 4 ounces of wine.   2. I some how started adding some popcorn into my diet.   3. On Monday I had a huge cramp on my leg in the morning, so I skipped the morning workout.   4. thinking about doing the double workout made me start to avoid my workouts   5. My cramp on my calf left me with so much pain it made it impossible to do anything but yoga & Pilates.   6. I started to feel unmotivated due to not being able to workout on DOUBLE days.   7. Week one on 21 day fix!

Hello my beautiful friends !!!     I have actually completed week 1 of 21 day fix & I have learned so much already. Today its actually day 11 for me so on Monday I will be completing week 2!   I just wanted to update you guys on how its been going for me. I have to start by saying this program is amazing, I have learned so much about portion control & seeing food in a different way. I promise every time I see someone's plate I think about what portions it is & what container it belongs in.   The first two days I think were hard for me. I felt a bit hungry & lost through out the day. I was not enjoying the foods that I was eating much & I was having too much salads. By now I've been feeling so much better, I'm adapting very well to my portions that sometimes its hard to finish eating all the containers that I need to eat.   So here's 11 things I've learned on my 21 day fix journey !   FYI. What I ate on 21 day fix

  Hello my beautiful friends!   Today is officially day 2 on 21 day fix, am I skinny yet? Okay no but today I felt amazing. Day 1 was a struggle to be honest I feel like I did not space out my meals correctly yesterday but today felt like a successful day. My tip for you guys if you are on the program or looking into starting it is really taking a look at the list of foods that you can eat. Day number one I had too many of the foods from the bottom which to me is the reason why I felt so hungry thru out the day. The more nutrients and fiber your foods have the better you will feel.   I guess I started with thinking I could only have salads but lettuce was being used as one of my veggies and since it doesn't have much nutrients it doesn't keep you full. Today I added broccoli, tomatoes and bell peppers instead and felt well thru out the day & had great energy.   Okay guys so I tried to keep it simple and I will be eating the same foods for the next few days

My 21 day fix Journey day #1

Hello my beautiful friends. My journey to finding balance continues, this blog is not about someone who has already lost all the weight & is feeling happy & healthy already. This blog is about me a person who has been struggling for a while with restricting at times and over eating other days. I'm looking for balance & looking for something that works for me. Most mornings recently I have hit that snoozed button, and skipped my workout. I have decided to sleep in instead of going to get my workout completed. I have step up in that scale every morning and see it go up and have allowed it to control the way I feel thru out the day. I have then later on thru the day ate what I wanted & have that cookie or chocolate because it feels like it won't make a difference. Hello my beautiful friends! Today's post I would like to get just a bit more personal so you can get to know the real me. I was away for about a week, went up to California to spend time with my family. Today I would like to talk more about what it means to be to be a daughter, a sister & aunt. First I would like to share that I'm the youngest child of the family, I have two older sisters Mimi (middle) & Vero  and my parents have been married for 37 years. I remember migrating from Mexico to the U.S when I was about 9 years old, didn't speak English at all. My parents brought us to the U.S.A in hope to give us a better future, leaving behind their home, culture & language all for us three.   Growing up, our home was always a happy place. We were best friends most of the time.     Being a Daughter   Being my parents daughter means a lot to me. They left too many things behind for us, they have dedicated their lives into giving us a better future.

Hello my beautiful friends! I have talked about the importance of water in previous posts & how I keep up with my water intake. Believe me i'm not perfect with water intake there's days where I forget or just not too interested in drinking plain boring water. This is why I love to plan ahead and purchase 3 ingredients that make delicious infused water. All you need is berries, lemon & cucumbers. If you guys haven't had infused water you are missing out, it will make your water have so much flavor & it just feels so refreshing. There are great benefits of having infused waters as well. Hello my beautiful friends!!! Healthy can have different meanings to different people. I would love to share what it means to me & the goals that I have in mind for my fitness journey. I strive for a healthy balance on a daily basis, which means to me eating healthy foods & whole foods about 80% of the time & having pizza & a donut on some other days. I love food, and I feel like I'm still in my journey to having a better relationship with food.       Hello my beautiful friends! If you have been skipping on desserts & not treating yourself in order to lose weight or stay healthy guess what? You no longer have to do that, Always say YES to dessert my friends, ALWAYS. Life is too short, live a little & treat yourself. I can assure you by having some delicious desserts it will help you to avoid craving other foods, and you won't feel restricted. Ok so whose ready to get started, does it sound too good to be true? Well I promise you it is true. Not only are these 3 delicious desserts but also they are very easy to make, all of them are about 3 ingredients only. Meal planning & Grocery Haul

Hello my beautiful friends!! Welcome to my blog, after a long week of work the last thing I wanted was to grocery shop today, however there wasn't much left in the refrigerator for this weekend. Thankfully I like to start planning & building my grocery shopping list throughout the week as we ran out of items. I wanted to share how I plan my grocery shopping trip and how I plan on what foods we will be having throughout the week. I tend to grocery shop every week and always meal plan to stay in our budget. Always try to make one trip to the grocery store, going more often may cause to overspend and it can get tempting to get variety of unhealthy options.   First thing I do like most of you is look through Pinterest & find inspiration. I try picking easy to make recipes & as healthy as possible, without being too restricted. Since its just the two of us I tend to cook 2-3 times a week only, the rest of the days we have leftovers. I write down the meal  that I want t
